STEREOSCOPIC - APPLIED COMMERCIAL 1986-

Abstract

The advent of the IBM personal computer in 1986 revived my interest in the concept of stereoscopic architectural tiling that was addressed in my Manifesto (1972). Computer software programs in the late 80's lent themselves well to stereoscopic pairing and the tedium of repetition necessary to produce the tiling assemblages I sought. Thus I began in 1986 to design a series of stereoscopic tile n-repetition expanses that could be applied to larger architectural scales.

This later became a reality when I met John Kristoff in March 1994. We formed a business partnership to promote the concept of Architectural Stereoscopic Tiling with the support of GAGE TILE, INTL (a division of Northern Engraving, Inc, Wisconsin)
